What is uncAFS?
uncafs.physics.unc.edu gives you secure access to your UNC AFS (isis.unc.edu) filespace using a web browser.

Where can it be used?
In your office, dorm, home, campus computer lab, or anywhere in the world with a good internet connection.

Who can use it?
Any member or associate of UNC who has an ONYEN and has subscribed to the ITS "Login, AFS file space (isis.unc.edu)" service. To subscribe to ITS services, please visit https://onyen.unc.edu.

What is AFS?
AFS is a place to store files, share files, and publish web pages. AFS clients exist for Windows, Macintosh, and many UNIX/Linux operating systems. For assistance installing an AFS client on your personal computer, please contact your Departmental IT support staff or visit http://help.unc.edu for assistance.

How can I access my physics.unc.edu   AFS filespace?

Members of the Physics and Astronomy Department may visit http://webafs.physics.unc.edu to access their physics.unc.edu AFS filespace.

Access the most recent backup of your files in AFS by visiting your OldFiles directory.

You can publish a web site using uncAFS to modify files in your personal "public_html" directory or your group web space.

If you would like to request group web space please follow these instructions.
